Booking a Course 

  • Do I need any previous experience?

    Some of our courses require previous experience, you can find this out in the Entry Requirements section on each course page.

  • When do I have to pay for my training course? 

    Payment for short courses is due at the time of booking. 

  • How do I pay for my training course? 

    Payment for short courses must be made during the online booking process. We accept payment by credit/debit card.

  • Do I need to bring any other materials or tools on the day of my course? 

    If your training course requires the use of any tools or electrical equipment (e.g., testers), these will be provided. Delegates are required to wear protective footwear for all practical assessments.


    Although scientific calculators can be borrowed for use in exams, delegates are welcome to bring their own if preferred.   

Attending the Training Centre 

  • Where will my training course take place? 

    All short courses take place at the Clarkson Evans Training Centre located at Meteor Business Park, Cheltenham Road East, GL2 9QL.

  • Can I park at the Training Centre?

    Yes, free parking is available for training delegates, you will be sent a parking permit in the confirmation email you receive after booking.

  • When will my course start and finish?

    Start and finish times can vary by course. The times of your course will be listed on the booking page and confirmed in your booking confirmation email.

  • What facilities are available for breaks and lunch?

    Complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits are available for delegates throughout the course. While lunch is not provided, a local snack van is available on-site each morning and there is a local supermarket that is a 5-minute drive away if you need to purchase lunch. 


    Delegates are welcome to use our BuzzBar seating area during breaks and will have access to microwaves if required. 

After a Course

  • When will I receive my exam/assessment results?

    Delegates will receive the results of exams and assessments straight away including any feedback, where applicable. 


    Results waiting times for written exams can vary. Your lecturer will advise on these where appropriate during the course.

  • What happens if I don’t pass an exam or assessment?

    The first attempt at the course exam and/or practical assessment (if applicable) is covered by the initial course fee. If you are unsuccessful on your first attempt, you will be advised on how you can request a resit and the associated cost. 


    If you are unsuccessful on an exam or practical assessment after 3 attempts, you may be required to undertake additional support before any additional attempts. Depending on the circumstances and level of support required, delegates may be required to retake the entire course.

  • When will I receive my certificate?

    Once you have passed all elements of your course you will be emailed an electronic copy of your certificate once it becomes available from the awarding body. For courses evaluated by an online exam only, this is normally within 3 days of passing. For courses with a practical assessment (e.g., 2391), certificates may take 2-3 weeks as assessments must undergo an internal quality assurance process before they can be claimed through the awarding body.   


    Hardcopy certificates will be sent to delegates within 1-2 working days of being received at our office from the awarding body. 

  • Will my qualifications be recognised?

    Yes, all of our short courses are industry-recognised qualifications.
